Provela Learn to Fly Course Beginner
"TRY FLY" - Ratio: 1:3 Duration: 2/4hrs Day Cost: €200pp

This is an introduction to foiling course. Our aim is to get you flying as quickly as possible. After some basic background theory, our instructor sails the boat out, hands it over to you and gets you flying straight away.

Assumed Pre-Course Ability:

Can sail a laser or similar boat confidently.

Provela Learn to Fly Intermediate
"LEARN TO FLY" - Ratio: 1:3 Duration: 3 Days (16hrs) Cost: €650pp

This course will teach you everything from launching and landing a foiling boat to flying. Over a 3 day period you will learn how the boat works, pre-flight checks and go foiling so you can keep the boat flying.

Assumed Pre-Course Ability:

Can Sail a laser or similar boat confidently.

Provela learn to fly Advanced
Foiling Fundamentals 1 - The Fundamentals of Flying Ratio: 1:4 Duration: 3 days

This course is aimed to improve your foiling upwind and downwind. Over the 3 days the focus will be on decreasing your no fly zones, which will assist you in speeding up your turns.

Assumed Pre-Course Ability:

Can launch and land a foiling boat from the shore. Can sustain flight on a beam reach to close reach.

Foiling Fundamentals 2 - Gybing Ratio: 1:4 Duration: 3 days

This course looks at the entry and exit of the foiling gybe as well as completing the foiling gybe itself.

Assumed Pre-Course Ability:

Can launch and land a foiling boat. Can sustain flight on all points of sailing.

Foiling Fundamentals 3 - Tacking Ratio: 1:4 Duration: 3 days

This course looks at the entry and exit of the foiling tack as well as completing the foiling tack itself.

Assumed Pre-Course Ability:

Can foil gybe and sustain flights in all directions.

We start you off on One of our Foiling Worlds F101's
The course can be booked as either a group or private lesson, with a maximum of 3 students to 1 instructor ratio. This will ensure that you get enough boat time as well as learning from your colleagues and having a well-deserved rest between take offs.
The coaching, spread over 3 days includes all the foiling fundamentals you will need to get you through: how the boats work. rigging, pre-flight checks & safety, Launching/Landing, low ride turns and more importantly how to take off and foil.
Coaching is undertaken from a rib from which we can remain in close contact with the sailor through use of a waterproof helmet comms. system.
